Self Care (Part 2): Make a List
I know making lists might feel a little like you’re “doing the most”, but remember, making a list does not mean you do or die, it simply means you have a point of reference throughout the day, something to go back to, especially if you feel you have too much swirling around in your thoughts. You can start at the beginning and/or end of your day, going over the things you want to accomplish, and if you need to have an hourly check, then you can do that too. Some people like hourly lists, others just like to have a list to check at points during the day. Remember to schedule breaks though. When you make your list, here are some things to consider…
- Order of importance
- Do they all have to be done in that day/hour
- Can you delegate
- What can be eliminated altogether?
- What is the motive behind it?
